Replacing the Sensor Battery

NOTE: Battery polarity is extremely important. Putting it in the wrong way is likely to damage the sensor.

Step 1

Open the sensor by pulling apart the two halves at the indent

Step 2

Remove the sensor electronics from the clip housing

Step 3

Remove the old battery

Step 4

Insert the new battery. Take great care to get the polarity right. Getting it wrong can damage the sesnsor.

Step 5

Insert the sensor electronics into the clip housing battery side first. It’s a tight fit, but don’t force it! It will only fit in one way.

Step 6

Align the lid to the clip base as shown in this drawing

Step 7

Carefully snap the lid onto the clip base.

Step 8

Activate the sensor by pressing on the button and holding it for a few seconds. If the blue glow doesn’t light, release and try again, it often takes a second try.
