Continuous Comfort™ lets you set the exact temperature you want your swamp cooler to blow. Instead of just turning on and off, the Roadrunner Comfort uses a remote sensor to monitor and adjust the water flow to the pads, ensuring the air is cooled to your chosen temperature. This means everyone in your home enjoys Continuous Comfort™, no matter how close or far they are from the vent.
The Controller is slim and fits in with any decor.
Wire nuts for connection to your cooler’s wiring are included, as is a pry tool for removing your controller from the wall plate.
The remote temperature sensor clips to your cooler’s air vent. If your home has ductwork and multiple vents, it can be clipped to any vent within about 30 feet of the controller. The sensor is powered by a battery whose lifetime exceeds five years, so replacing the battery will be an infrequent need. The spring-loaded clip and sensor electronics are designed to last a lifetime, like the controller itself.
The Roadrunner Comfort RC4 comes with either a single or double-wide wall plate, making it compatible with virtually all existing swamp cooler controller installations. The double-wide wall plate is available in the usual configuration, as shown above, or in Horizontal configuration which allows for installation of the controller in wide mode in a double-gang box. 
We also include this handy little “Dismount Tool” that makes it easy to remove the snap-fit controller from the wall mount.
IMPORTANT: Some newer coolers use a low-voltage controller and put more electronics in the cooler itself; these systems use low-voltage wiring to the thermostat which may not be immediately compatible with the Roadrunner Comfort. If you have one of these systems, you probably need the help of an electrician for installation.

Starting with the ease of installation, which was as easy as could be.
Then, after 25 years of getting up freezing in the middle of the night to get my previous controller to cycle off, this controller is smart enough to dial back the pump, making the airflow comfortable rather than just one frigid temperature.
The real test came when we had a cool evening, followed by a cool morning. I would usually just turn off the cooler rather than try to regulate the temperature in the house with my old controller. The Roadrunner cycled the blower and pump masterfully creating, as what other reviewers have said, a temperature that is almost like air conditioning.
We have never been more comfortable with the hottest of days and the coolest of nights.

I am so impressed with this product!! The installation instructions were very clear, and it was a quick clean install. I appreciate that they went above and beyond with packaging and putting stickers to label existing wires. Since the installation the product has been a game changer in my house. No more getting up at 2 am to shut off the cold air. Amazing product!! I would recommend to anyone!!

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience because this controller has been a complete game changer for my home.
I was constantly dealing with high humidity levels, and the constant on-and-off cycling of my swamp cooler motor just wasn’t working well. Since installing the Roadrunner thermostat, my home feels much more like it did when I had central air conditioning. After switching to a swamp cooler, maintaining comfortable temperatures and controlling humidity became much more difficult, but this controller has made a huge difference.
What really stands out is how much smarter it is than other swamp cooler controllers I’ve used. It does an excellent job of keeping temperatures stable while helping manage humidity levels throughout the house. This is especially important in homes with multiple ducts, where trying to control the entire system from a single wall-mounted thermostat can be challenging.
The remote sensor option is also incredibly helpful. Being able to place a sensor at the end of a long duct run gives the controller a much better understanding of what’s happening throughout the house, resulting in more consistent comfort from room to room.
I’m 100% satisfied with the improvement in temperature control during the summer months. As an added bonus, it reduces wear and tear on the motor by preventing the constant cycling that many swamp coolers experience without an advanced controller like this.
I would absolutely recommend the Roadrunner thermostat to anyone looking for better temperature control, lower humidity, improved comfort, and a smarter way to operate their swamp cooler system.
